Windows XP End Date
Support ends for Windows XP and Office 2003 on April 8th 2014
How does this affect me?
If your version of Windows is no longer supported by Microsoft, it means you
will no longer receive Windows updates. These include security updates that can help protect your PC from harmful viruses, spyware, and other malicious software, which can steal your personal information. Windows Update also installs the latest software updates
and non-security hotfixes to improve the reliability of Windows—new drivers for your hardware and more.
Running Windows XP and Office 2003 after their end of support date may expose
your company to potential risks, such as security & compliance risks. Ita can
also mean you miss out on the latest technological developments such as new
software or cloud based technologies.
What can I do?
There are many options for the single user and small businesses. If your
current PC meets the system requirements, you can upgrade to Windows 7 or Office
2013. If your system doesn’t meet the system requirements, then a new PC will
not only come with the latest software but also faster hardware.
As System Force IT we can advise you of your options, which is the best route
to take and help you with the migration to the latest platforms, keeping you and
your data safe, secure and up to date. For more help and free advice call 0845
