If your team works from more than one desk, or spends half the week out of the office, an ageing phone system already struggles to keep up. Add a hard deadline to replace the lines it runs on, and it stops being a someday problem.
A short conversation about your current setup, the switch-off deadline, and what actually needs to change. No pressure, no jargon
Someone’s on site, someone’s working from home, someone’s driving between jobs, and the desk phone just rings. Customers hang up, try a mobile number they found on Google, or call a competitor instead.
The box in the comms cupboard has been there longer than most of the team. Adding an extension, moving someone to a new desk, or fixing a fault means waiting for an engineer, because no one really understands how it’s wired together any more.
The traditional analogue network, PSTN and ISDN lines, is being withdrawn completely in January 2027. It isn’t a sales pitch, it’s a national infrastructure change, and every business still running on those lines needs a replacement in place before it happens.
You didn’t choose the January 2027 deadline, and you probably didn’t choose the phone system you inherited either. What you need is someone who can look at what you’ve actually got, lines, handsets, call flows, remote staff, and tell you plainly what has to change and what can wait. Not a script, not a countdown clock, just a straight answer.
System Force IT has delivered business telephony solutions to companies across Gloucestershire and the UK since 2006. We are UKAS ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Certified, a Microsoft Solutions Partner, Cyber Essentials certified, a Certified 3CX Partner and a RIPE NCC Member. As a Certified 3CX Partner, we design and manage hosted phone systems for businesses across Gloucestershire and the UK who need to be off traditional lines well before the January 2027 switch-off.
Our Microsoft 365 service covers the full lifecycle, from initial migration through ongoing security hardening and day-to-day support. A typical engagement includes:
A short call or site visit to look at what you’re running now, ISDN lines, an ageing PBX, or a mix of both, and how your team actually works day to day. No obligation, and no pressure to sign anything on the call.
As a Certified 3CX Partner, we port your existing numbers, configure call routing and IVR, set up mobile and desktop apps for anyone working remotely, and connect the system to Microsoft 365 and your other business systems. It’s the same process we used to move a five-site UK manufacturer’s 150+ staff off ISDN onto cloud 3CX. Read how that migration went.
Calls reach whoever’s meant to answer them, wherever they’re actually sitting, and you’re fully off the lines that stop working in January 2027, with extensions and simple changes you can make yourselves rather than waiting on a callout.Proactive monitoring, fast remote help and same-day on-site response across Gloucestershire, including the dedicated IT support Gloucester businesses can rely on.
Nobody’s chasing a missed call an hour later because it rang out at an empty desk. A new starter gets a working extension the same morning, not the same week. And when the analogue switch-off finally happens, it’s a date that comes and goes without anyone in the business noticing.
20 years supporting Gloucestershire businesses, with engineers who can be on site the same day.
The same independently audited security standard regulators expect, applied to how we run your IT.
You speak to people who know your setup, not a call centre reading from a flowchart.
No outside investors pushing upsells. We answer to local clients, not a distant board.
Tell us about your current setup and we’ll come back with a straight answer on what needs to change before January 2027, and what it would look like.

The analogue network, PSTN and ISDN, is being withdrawn completely in January 2027. If your business still relies on traditional lines or an on-site PBX connected to them, it affects you, regardless of how many sites or extensions you run.
Possibly not everything, but it’s worth checking. Some businesses have SIP trunks feeding an ageing on-site system that won’t be supported long term, or apps that were never properly rolled out to remote staff. A short review tells you what’s already fine and what needs attention. For urgent on-site issues across Gloucestershire we aim for same-day response. Most day-to-day problems are resolved remotely within minutes.
Yes. Number porting is a standard part of moving to a hosted 3CX system, so your main lines and any direct-dial numbers move across with you rather than being reissued.
They get a mobile or desktop softphone app tied to their extension, so calls to the office reach them wherever they are, without giving out a personal mobile number. Call routing and an auto-attendant handle the rest.
Yes. 3CX integrates with Microsoft 365 and Teams, and with common CRM and ERP platforms, so calls and contact records don’t have to live in two separate places.
Once the analogue network is withdrawn, ISDN and PSTN lines stop carrying calls. It isn’t a gradual slowdown, it’s a hard cut-off, and any phone system still depending on those lines at that point stops working until it’s replaced.
Getting off ageing lines before January 2027 isn’t a project you have to handle alone or figure out on the fly. If day-to-day IT support is also stretched thin, our IT support and maintenance services cover the infrastructure your phone system depends on, and a stable business internet connection matters just as much as the handset on the desk once calls run over the internet. Many of the businesses we help with phone systems also lean on our wider managed IT services, particularly where phones, Microsoft 365 and IT security all need to work together rather than being managed as separate problems. If you’d rather talk it through first, get in touch and we’ll take it from there.
